Should Gov Compete Against Private Business?

Fairfield city budget and Solano County budgets are in trouble.  Should they be spending money to compete against private services offering similar help?

The Solano Center For Business Innovation is a new organization being funded by different government agencies in Solano County.  Details on what they plan to do have not yet been made available to us yet per the Sunshine Act.

Solano Center For Business Innovation will be providing at least some of the services already being offered by the privately funded Solano Business Incubator at 707 434-8000, Fairfield-Suisun Chamber of Commerce, Vacaville Chamber of Commerce, and private business consultants who earn their living helping Solano small businesses grow and hire more employees. Other privately funded Solano small business assistance organizations watching to see what will come from Solano Center For Business Innovation include Innovation Institute, LLC and Solano Business Directory.

Solano Center For Business Innovation was started by Chuck Rieger.  It's located in the Solano Economic Development office in Suisun.

The hope is that a good synergy will be developed between Solano Center For Business Innovation and the privately funded Solano economic development organizations.

  1. It's less about government competing against private enterprise. It's more about the "Old Boy Network" using tax money to support their interests.

Innovation Institute has many top solutions to fix Fairfield, Solano County and the rest of Northern California. www.InnovationInstituteBlog.com. Yet the old boy network only looks to see them as a challenge for their power base.

    Tax payers are the losers.
